It’s a post on rewind of my Wonderful Schools day at Vikaasa.

During my Schools Day (LKG (1988) to 8th (1998) )) in Vikaasa (Ambas Vikaasa) is memorable & remarkable days, which I will really cherish lifelong. I never know anything other than my parents and my school during those days not now ;) .   It’s not just a school but my wonderland, with spacious green environment with British architecture building. Most of my staffs were Anglo Indian.

Main Teaching of the School was to make a Good quality person both in discipline and in knowledge. Most of the days were into extra-curricular activities & Sports with smart learning education system. We have a very Big Library with huge collection of books. The Park area and the school surroundings are always green with lots of trees & Plants also had fish & tadpole ponds maintained on daily basis. Then our School Sports ground its really a huge space and Volleyball, tennikoit, badminton, football ground situated in various places within our school premises. There would be never such a huge school with all amenities.

Here comes the classroom now, since the school is only for the children’s of Madura Cost people, the count of students in each class were minimal.  We had a big piano with lots of Toys which was placed next to my LKG class room. We had only half a day school during LKG and UKG we were given time to sleep and play during the half a day ;). I can still visualize those days.

We use to have interest class each week; we also had option to change the interest class each year. Interest Class Conducted were – Craft, Dance, Veena, skating, sewing, painting etc. We also had Swimming Class each week. Each and every activity from studies to sports was perfectly taught. From Class 6th we use to have practicals for Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Fiesta – Each year it would be a grant meet of schools in our campus, we the students and staffs of Vikaasa arrange for various types of events and stalls.

I remember we had campfire and night stay at our school once. I can still remember each and every class rooms and events of My School , My School Mates and Wonderful Teacher of Mine ( My Fav Staffs – Maggie Miss – She was my class miss during 2nd) & Indira Miss -  She took history for Me( I guess during 5 std).

My School Mates – I wish to list the names of them whom I would remember  Preetha, Mia Maria Jacob,  Kishore, Nithin, Nikil ( Twins), Ganesh ( He used to be the person who taught the whole class to put signature during our 6 std), Jeeva, Namita, Subramanian ( Dabala Player), Ranju ( Dancer), Krishna, Parameshwari, Thanga ganapathi and Many. I am unable to get my other friends name plz forgive me. I wish I meet them all once.

It’s a great School!!!!!!

While searching for benefits of Coconut milk I came across more useful information on its consumption.
Hence decided to share it to everyone to enjoy the benefits.

Have listed the benefits suggested by professional nutritionist (Elissa Gooman)

Benefits of Coconut Milk:

Helps to maintain blood sugar places:
Glucose intolerance may cause manganese deficiency in your body. Coconut milk is a rich source of manganese. Whole grains, legumes and nuts are some excellent sources of manganese.

Keeps skin and blood vessels flexible and elastic:
Copper is very important mineral for most of the bodily functions. Copper and vitamin C help to maintain the flexibility and elasticity of the skin and blood vessels.

Aids in building strong bones:
Coconut milk is not rich in calcium, but it is rich in phosphorus. Phosphorus is an essential nutrient that body needs for strengthening bones. It is must to take phosphorus with calcium particularly to prevent bone loss because it supplies phosphate to the body.

Helps to prevent anemia:
Lack of iron is the most common nutrient deficiency among the people throughout the world. Iron deficiency in body does not allow the body to develop enough hemoglobin for keeping sufficient oxygen levels in red blood cells, resulting in anemia. Each cup of coconut milk supplies the body with nearly a quarter of daily value of iron.

Relaxes muscles and nerves:
Whenever you feel muscle cramps or muscle soreness, have some food along with coconut milk. It is rich in magnesium and can help you in relieving the problem. One of the functions of magnesium is it acts as a gate block in many nerve cells. If magnesium is not present in body, nerve cells become very active because of calcium that activates nerves. Excess contraction of muscles is caused by over active nerve cells.

Helps in Controlling Weight:
This can be a good news for people who are trying to reduce weight. Coconut milk makes you feel full very quickly because of high concentrations of dietary fiber.

Decreases the risk of joint inflammation:
Selenium is an important antioxidant. It controls the free radicals and thereby helps in relieving the symptoms of arthritis. It is observed that people with low levels of selenium may suffer from rheumatoid arthritis.

Helps in lowering high blood pressure:
People who are concerned with their blood pressure will not face any problem for reaching the foods containing potassium. Potassium helps in lowering blood pressure levels in the body.

Helps in maintaining healthy immune system:
Coconut milk helps in warding off colds and coughs by keeping the immune system healthy. It supplies vitamin C to the body which boosts the immune system.

Promotes the health of prostate gland:
Zinc plays a vital role in promoting the health of prostate gland. A preliminary study showed that it slows down the activities of cancer cells.
